A friend of mine went to Oulton Park at the weekend and said he saw one of the manufacturers cars had a sunken handbrake into the transmisson tunnel
with just enough of a gap to get your hand in to pull it up.
I ve not seen his pics yet but it seemed a good idea to try and gain some space back.
Any thoughts on whta mr sva man might say?
ill try and get the pic from him tomorrow and post for more clarifaction.
I believe it was MAC#1's Type 9R Worx car that your friend saw.
Theyve used a very clever idea to cover the tunnel top above it.
I cant see why my SVA man would have any problems with it. Some people prefer to use their right hand to activate the handbrake as getting leverage
with the left can be difficult. The sunken feature may make that harder but not impossible.
The handbrake is higher than it needs to be. There is loads of clearance from the propshaft. It would be a good idea to lower the handbrake lever a bit.
Cheers chaps.
