Just get your engine number and ask the dvla. They wrote back to me within a week.

You can write to Ford and ask them to clarify the engines age.

I used DOHC Sierra as donor. V5 was OK as reciept. Engine actually came from different Sierra. DVLA didnt look at the engine too closely, i told them that the engine number didnt tie up with V5 as i thought donor had had an engine swap (well it did but not in that car ish!!). They werent too bothered as they said it was common, i put correct engine number on the forms and it was all accepted.

Could the Fiesta engine have feasibly come from the donor vehicle????? Might be a way round it.
Alternatively why not make your own reciept showing the reg and actual engine number - i guess this could have been hand written by the private seller (as opposed to letter head from trade seller)????

Edit - oops - i thought you were asking for points towards age related plate. If for engine age i wrote to that Ford address. Answred within a week - they tell you the month and year that the engine was originally assembled into a vehicle - OK for SVA.
