No probs with DVLA
BKLOCO - 15/5/06 at 03:23 PM

After getting my MAC from the nice man at SVA centre I went to the DVLA office in Chelmsford on my way into work.
I was expecting all sort of hassle but...
A very nice young lady looked up my previously submitted details... told me I would be getting an age related reg... took my money for tax and registration fee and told me I would be getting Tax disk and documents in the post by Thurs the latest...
No mention of MOT or anything...

I heve to say that if she is as good as her word then the whole process of testing and registering has been extreemly painless. I know some people have had problems but credit where it's due I haven't.

I went into Nottingham and had tax and plate within an hour, no mention of MOT either Much nicer than I was expecting

It must have been your charm mate

Sounds like one of the most painless dealings with the DVLA ever!

Funniest bit about mine was that when I had the inspection I turned up and there was this very attractive lady who asked if she could help. I said 'how can I find the inspector?' and she said 'you have!!'

She proceeded to look at my car for all of 3 minutes, checked the chassis number and that was that!

Rich.

I had a similar experience at Maidstone. Went along with my MAC, a nice girl came out and inspected the chassis number, went inside, and got the tax disc there and then.
