being 20

well, there's one advantage to being 20 over 19.

got my renewal letter through for insurance back end of last week, and even after my prang, following last year's premium of £827.40, this year's will be....................

....wait for it....

...£494.55!. i nearly fell over.
just goes to show, insurance companies do sometimes offer good surprises.

i assume since it's footman james' renewal letter, and it was footman james that paid out for my claim, they'll have taken into account the fact that i've had a prang?

if not, bugger, but if they have, WOO HOO!

£330 reduction in one year? that's like some raceleda front uprights!

i was pricing insurance 2day also. I paid £1250 last year and this year they were charging an extra 100 even though i didn't claim ar get points etc. So decided to tell them on no uncertain terms that i would not be continuing my policy with them. Priced around for about an hour and 4 different companies later i got a quote for £877 on my astra sport. much more like it!

I insured mine for £170 - maybe thats the nice thing about being 35. Best bit is i wanted 3,000 miles limited as it was extra £30 for 5,000 miles - just checked paperwork and theyve put me down for 5,000 miles! (it is printed on my certificate and mileage confirmation form).
