Originally got a quote from them and they wanted £500!
Told them someone else got theirs from them for a similar car but with 2 engines and 300hp for only £270. (thanks Russ).
They dropped their quote to £268 for fully comp, 3000 limited, £250 comp excess, guaranteed value of £13000. It included £13 for extra passenger
cover and Road Rage!
I got a quote from Graham Sykes for £228.15 for the same. (except for the extra £13 cover)
Went back to Adrian Flux and asked them about their price match and they let me have the insurance for £223 (includes the road rage cover!) and
smaller £200 excess.
So the moral is, never accept your first quote and always haggle!
I saved £277!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That will cover my roadtax for a couple of years and fill my tank twice!

Well done. i also play one off against the other.
The only thing to do now is ring them back and secure a 2 year deal for £350
Osbournes came up trumps for me.

thats great. how old are you though, i cant wait to try and get insurance on my car when its done. im 23 with elephant lost my no claims after a silly
bump.
i was totally pissed off with the attitude of elephant as they didnt really wanna know. anyway really wanna find the best deal. i did try adrian flux
for my golf gti they wanted 1400 quid!!! still with elephant who are still the cheapest at 860 with claims againt me, was originally 460!!
I am 42..........so getting old does have it's benefits!
I'm 28 and was quoted £270 for 3000 mile limited mileage fully comp, £6k agreed value on 200hp 2ltr vauxhall XE powered 7 by a company whose
bloody name is now eluding me but they do lots of kit insurance!!!
That's not including any no-claims as it is a second car, by the way.
