Does my Fuel Gauge need to work for SVA? My Fuel sender stopped working recently and, although I plan to replace or repair it soon, I am trying to
minimise the list of pre SVA jobs.
Would I be better off removing the gauge all together and blanking the hole in the dash or will they allow me to have a non-operating gauge
present?
Just in case:
My sender is off a Mark III escort that was on a B-plate. It has no auxillary warning light switch, but does have both feed and return connections.
Anyone got a spare one by any chance or know where I may get one? Doesn't really matter about the auxillary warning connections, could be useful
anyway, but I believe level part is exactly the same. Crucial that it has feed and return though.
Thanks in advance
Richard
No it doesn't need to work. However, you do have to have some method of measuring apparently. Our examiner never questioned this aspect of the
SVA...
