Im looking at buying a fuel filler from a chandlers as they are a lot cheaper than the automotive alternatives.
The only problem being that they do not come with a reducer for unleaded.
Can i put one in?
Probably difficult as most boat fillers are designed for multi fuel types.
Why not check out Europa - I got my twin fillers (including unleaded reducers) for £40 each last year.
Europas cheaper filler cap is £50 including postage and VAT but not a restrictor. I borrowed mine from a vehicle at work, its the white plastic type
and sits in the neck from the pipe side.

Why bother, as you can't buy leaded ?
Or am I missing something ?
It is an SVA requirement that the fuel filler is only capable of taking the approved fuel type.
If i buy a stainless or ally one i guess i could just cut a plate to fit in the filler neck and cut the required hole out of it couldnt i?
Then just get someone to tack weld it a suitable distance down inside the neck?
I think you can make your own, the plastic filler neck I have seems to have a home made one from a brass plumbing fitting and a short length of hose
pop-riveted into the neck...
Dan
i was just gonna turn an ali one on my lathe...

YEP - only if you have a CAT - so you can only use unleaded. I used an Europa areo style.made by newton.
I have fitted mine inside the boot.
Went to the scrap yard and got the metal filler neck and cap from a Mitsubishi L300 van which has an unleaded restrictor.
The 51mm dia of the pipe matched the fuel hose to the tank.
Total cost £8
