Passed my SVA today, (second attempt). Its more stressful than paying a visit to the dentist. Now just got to get it registered and taxed. Whooo Hoooo.

SVA at the dreaded Southampton, real picky outfit. My first fail was because my roll bar was 42mm, and it had to be 45mm or more. Grrrrrrr! Happy now though. Chippy

cheers for that, was in a state of panic for a while, my seatbelt anchorages are separate from the roll bar thankfully

and mine are fastened to 25mm RHS!

i'd be worried, but i've already crash tested the indy harness mounts. i should be charging MK for the privilege

I'm asking cause mine will be in excess of the RAC blue book but less than 40 mm (i think, can't remember now but its 3mm steel instead of 2.5mm)

If you look at the SVA manual under seat belts, (I didn't), you will find the reference to the size of the roll bar. It reads as follows:
Note.
For guidance roll cages should idealy be manufactured of CDS steel tube dia 45mm x 2.5mm wall thickness OR 50mm x 2.0mm wall thickness. Bend radius should exceed 3 times the tube diameter. Where tubes are ovalised during bending, the ratio d/D should not be less than 0.9 ( d = small diameter, D = large diameter. Hope that helps. Regards Chippy.
