hi guys, what have you all done to remdy the bad side to rear panel join on the indy to get it passed sva test? my test is on wed and need to finish certain things.

Also do i need to cover my coilovers to pass? if so what has been used in the past?

I used strategically positioned tadpole trim & U trim to disguise the gap.

I didnt cover any of my coilovers and passed. The top mount needs to be safe from a projectiosn point of view so may need attention. The MAC#1 nosecone takes care of that though. The top & bottom platforms at the front need covering & radio controlled car tyres with a hidden zip tie sorted those, and the adjuster knob also needs covering. I used a black bolt head/nut cover dome thing

This is what we did...

For the join in the back panel we just filled it with a bead of silkaflex for SVA but may alter this later on. For shocks Dad got a piece of rubber from work (similar stuff to that used for plastic doormats) and wrapped this around them in 2-3" pieces top and bottom on each side - will find a photo later.

I used a stainless rubber covered P-clip.
Does the job for now.

For the shocks i used flexible conduit, cut it open lenth ways and wrapped twice around the adjuster, and around the small raised edge 30mm below that. Held on with super glue. Passed fine. Sorry no pic of that.

I looked at load's of these joints because i'm sad like that , but came to the conclusion that they are best left uncovered, causing the minimum amount of draw to the eye.
With the exception of Hellfire's which is the best job i've seen of covering it.
However for the test I just did a blob of clear silicon sealer, to take the sharp corner off and in time i'm going to put a soft top on the boot which will cover it all anyway....
I used moped innertube over the shocker tops and bottoms, worked well, but best put on with the shock off the car.
