Thought id post this in case it happens to anyone else.

My donor was correctly registered as SORN etc etc. Kit was registered in Dec 05. I thought that would be the last id hear about the donor. I have just recieved a SORN reminder for it though! Anyway to cut long story short solution is simple. Ive just spoken to DVLA. I have to send the V11 back to them with covering letter to explain the situation and advise them of the new kit car registration number and they will take the donor details off the system. Address to send letter to is DVLA Swansea, SA99 1AR.

Yep happened to me too

did the same wrote a letter as advised by the local DVLA office, also send it recorded because if there is a backlog dealing with the corespondence 'The Computer' will issue a fine automatically ( can you tell I am talking from personal experience Here ? ).

I do find all this a little worrying though surly after the registration of the Kit car the supporting V5 should be deleted from everywhere
