This covers a few subjects, but as a consequence I thought I'd put it here.
1. It failed because the standard Sierra stearing wheel was too big! Were is the best place i.e. cheapest place to get the boss i.e. collapsable for
a Mountey steering wheel. I've got the wheel but the boss I've got is solid.
2. I have a brake bias bar and the tester requires each end to be fixed to stop it moving. He suggested roll pins at each end so it could'nt
unadjust accidentally. Any idea were to get them from?
3. I've got no cover for the boot area so he could get his ball everywhere. When I sugested a vynal cover he said that would be fine. Anyone know
a good place to go to get one made
There was lots of other little things but nothing that can't be easily sorted.
To be fair Martin at the SVA centre were I went was very fair and for everthing that was wrong he gave me a solution.
Just got to save the pennies to get the bits for the retest now!
When you say steering wheel to big, do you mean he couldnt get in the car or his view was obscured, or?
Steve.
roll pins - local hardware type place or local backstreet garage (im covering the bar up so it can't be seen anyway, don't want roll pin
holes in the bias bar myself)
vinyl - woolies - www.woolies-trim.co.uk/ (I'm using rubber pond liner tho!)

I took my car for its SVA with the original Sierra steering wheel... it was really a bit of a joke, as I could barely drive with it fitted (I could
hardly lift my legs to operate the pedals) and the tester who was about 6'3" could barely get in! To be brutally honest, it was unsafe and
I probably wouldn't have quibbled if he'd objected to it.

Boses made by Astrali are collapsable and fit Mountney wheels.
