If it's just the inspection, then no. If you're going to sort out the reg'n number then you need all your receipts etc, photo ID, chequebook, donor V5 and MAC (assuming inspection is post-SVA )

DVLA practice differs around the country so you might want to check with the office you are dealing with

Reciepts, V5 for donor and a few tools incase you are asked to remove panels.
If you want an age related plate you need 8 points. You get 1 for the engine, 1 for the gearbox etc, but you can get 5 points for a brand new or manufacturers chassis.
I told them that I was the manufacturer (Bickell Designs) and I provided a reciept for the steel to prove that it was brand new instead of second-hand.
I was issued with an age related plate.
Good luck

everything is already at dvla office in oxford, except for ALL my build receipts. they have the receipt from mk for the kit, is that going to affect things? oh and ive already paid for tax and reg fee...

You will need proof of a manufacturers chassis if you want an age related plate. Otherwise it will be a Q plate without any proof.
Don't forget proof of original donor.
