The SVA guide states that the bolts for the seat belt must be a minimum of 11mm diameter. I know you can get 10mm (too small) and 12mm (too big for
the harness washer).
Does anyone know what size bolt is supplied with the four point harness or if there is such a thing as a 11 mm bolt??
Cheers mark
use the standard belt bolts,7/16 unf i belive then you cant go wrong
Yep, 7/16 unf is correct just make sure they are marked as high tensile. This usually three lines radiating from the centre of the bolt head like

sort of thing, roughly equiv. to 8.8 in metric terms

I've just bought 2 sabelt harnesses, and they came with 7/16" UNF bolts, aprox. 1.5" long.

Panicked over this one some time ago! Forgot all about it at the test and every bolt had a plastic nut cover on it anyway! They all passed without comment. Think it depends what examiner you get and what side of the bed he got out!!
...and how well the rest of the car is presented!
I know I've said this before, but it really is a good idea to make the car look as good as possible for the SVA test.
Imagine being in the tester's shoes - a really neat and tidy car comes in, followed by a scruffy and untidy one - which one would you look closer
at?
From what I've heard here Merlin, your car comes into the 'neat and tidy' category, so I suspect that you will have been given an
easier ride (deservedly).
just my 2p's worth
