Any last minute tips appreciated.
Thanks
Stu
I like it , it looks real smart.
Have you protected the bottom of the front springs, the adjusting nut may have sharp edges.
I cut a piece of drain pipe (65mm) and split it and put it round the springs at their base, A piece ot black tape just to keep it tight, the guy at
the SVA new i was ging to take it off straight away but passed it anyway.
Thats the only thing i can see from the pics.
Good Luck
Thanks
I made some rubber boots to cover the top and bottom of the springs and have some soft nut covers on the adjusters.
In fact I have nut covers on just about everything!
I also accidentally bought too much edge trim so anything with an edge has edge trim on it!
I'm more nervous about the fact that it hasn't been driven on the road yet - the furthest it has been so far is to the bottom of the garden
and back.
Hopefully everything will work OK.
Stu
Best of luck, hope it goes ok
Mike
All the best, the drive to the SVA is more a test of your nerves, than your building/driving skills, the way back is usually great fun though. Just
take plenty of tools, nults, bolts and some water, etc just in case anything needs sorting en-route.
Good luck, and its nowhere near as stressful an experience - your car looks good, and thats half the battle.
Good luck
A couple of minor points:
The threaded part of the headlamp mount & the seat belt metal triangles behind the seats probably need edging/protecting
Check your rear fog lamp is vertical - leaning bac a bit is not acceptable
Looks a good effort to me
Cheers
Mark
Thanks
Since the pics were taken I've got covers / trim on both.
The fog light is on an ali bracket and is vertical my my reckoning. It bends fairly easily if the inspector doesn't agree.

All the best, try to enjoy it.
