Is this angle going to cause me problems at SVA?
i dont know about sva, but it looks quite reclined, u might get neckache looking out the front!
and your legs will be bent near 90 degrees to get at the pedals by the looks of it.
might be worth a rethink unless you've got pedals in and tried it.

In your avatar the seats are nice and upright, what went wrong? no head room? I dont think there is any requirement for the seats to be at any angle as far as SVA goes, at least cant find any mention in the copy I have, so you should be OK, as long as the car is controlable. Regards Ray
Also looks like you might get a severe case of gravel rash on your arse if it bottoms out (no pun intended). As for the SVA I'm not sure either way
looked too high so I shaved 5cm off the roof - plus you need a good bit of room - especially when wearing helmets. It's surprisingly comfy even
at that angle - i've also thumbed through and can't find any problems with that as per SVA.

I had similar problems with my Aeon GT2 and tried loads of seats before I settled on my Ultima ones. Conventional seats will not do the trick so you
need to get the lateral thinking cap on
I put in a recessed floor pan which gave me an extra 40mm (which helped) but the biggest gain came from the Ultima seats. These have a much better
'lay back' angle similar to a lot of karting seats which are also worth looking at for alternatives.
If you recline the conventional buckets (as your pic) you will find that your knees will be raised too high for the steering wheel and your legs will
be at the wrong angle to reach the pedals effectively. There is also a suprising amount of padding on the seat squab of most buckets and you can get
quite a lot of headroom by taking some of it out, basically sitting on the fibreglass base (which isn't as uncomfortable as it sounds)
Have a look at the Tillet karting seats - I very nearly went that route.

I'd have said that the backs of your thighs would get caned with having the seat at that angle unless your pedal box is high to compenstate. Even with a decent amount of padding it wouldn't be too long before the blood supply in your legs would be reduced. If you think about most production cars, you don't actually have that much weight on that area of your legs due to your feet touching the floor and working the pedals. Your legs are quite heavy (not yours personally ) and it won't take much to tire the muscles out if they are not supported correctly.

I agree with razman, you need to remove the padding or go for thin fiberglass seats. the ones youve got have more padding than a sofa, so thats where you are loosing space.
