Chassis Plate

I would appreciate some help in sourcing a supplier of a chassis plate bearing the chassis number to satisfy our SVA man.

I believe the frame has to be stamped with the number too; is this correct?. If so will ERS take stamps without badly deforming.

Glad of your help and thank you in advance.

Like Rich says, piece of ally, get it stamped, rivet it somewhere visible on the chassis, cost a couple of quid at the most.

I stamped a piece of 18g and welded it onto the chassis as well as stamping the aluminium. Is a riveted plate considered permanent enough for the inspector?

My DVLA said it needed to be on the chassis in at least 2 places. Once can be a riveted plate, the other needs to be a permanent part of the structure. The guy I was speaking to was happy for me to stamp it into the riveted and bonded ali floor though as the permanent one.
