I bought the lads old tintop of him when he tipped in for a new Punto.

I duly sent the V5 off which is techically just a name change and he has had a letter off then saying:

"Thank you for notify us of the scrapping the vehicle. Our records have been updated"

I'm still using it, taxed and tested. what happens if I get pulled and when I want to tax it in April??

does it mean I wont get done for a camera offence also??

Any advise on what I should do?

I would clarify the matter immediately - well in the morning - with the DVLA. you do not want to be charged by some over keen plod with driving a 'ringer'.
