Battery Master Switch

Pondering when to fit my battery master switch so we can race the Avon eventually.

Has anyone had an FIA switch fitted for the SVA? I was planning to put it on the right side of the body near the bottom of the windscreen, so I'm a bit worried about the exterior projection issue.

Thanks

Probably best to install it after SVA

nitram38 came up with an interesting solution. He encased the key (and immobiliser transponder) in resin.

I put my key in a round deodorant top and encased it in clear resin. Not only does it get around the projection problem, it contains my immobiliser transponder key.
This means that someone with an ordinary fia key cannot nick the car!!!

Very clever! What's the 1p for?

Most people do not realise that a 1p is mostly steel and therefore magnetic.
I just use it to attach the key onto a magnet when not in use!

Good thinking!

Now that IS cunning.

I might just make the key removable - there's a little rubber cover for the socket which should be SVA happy.
