Is there a minimum and maximum gap allowable between the pedals for SVA?
I'm currently making up my pedals. I'm not short of space, but I don't want to fall foul of any regulations.
I've had a search on here and also looked through the SVA manual, but can't see anything?
Can't see anything about it in the sva manual but seem to remember something about a required gap between pedals if you want to race it.

Rich
I'm sure I've seen a distance mentioned; you are right, SVA manaul does not mention anything.
the important thing is that you can operate each pedal safely; I've goot bing plates and little space in the footwell and had to fit brake pedal
rubber upside down to avoid pressing brake/accelerator together
Sit in car and mess about withthe pedals wearing your ballet shoes and adjust.
Only other thing about pedals is sharp edges/bolts holes - seem to recall you cannot have those ripspeed/halford ali type cvoers drilled with holes -
again can;t recall havingread about that in the SVA so maybe you can.
Not an SVA requirement but 50mm min between edges is standard.

I think the 50mm gap is required for type approval but it is not an SVA requirement.
Thanks for all your replies. I'm basically in the process of doing what 02GF74 is suggesting re setting it up to be right for me. Funny enough, the gap is coming out to be about 2", which is just over this 50mm. Just wanted to make sure before the welder comes out
