but where can i buy a copy of the sva manual? I tried looking on the dvla site but had no joy (or looked inthe wrong place) If anyone could advise me
I'd be grateful. I think I need to read up on what will and won't be permitted before I make some silly choices...
thanks,
Ned.

thanks all, now sorted.
Ned.
There is a pdf version (2000) which could mysteriously appear in you email if you need it
I'm in the same situation. I just received a letter this morning from the VOSA returning my cheque and telling me I'll have to wait for 2-3
months.
I'm wondering if this is just an out of stock situation or if the manual is going to be revised.
Either way, anyone that can help out I'd be grateful. Any recent second hand ones knocking around that are no longer needed?
I have the SVA 2000 PDF but I've been led to believe that the SVA manual is as much as 'how to' document with diagrams and templates as
it is a 'what to' list.

Dunno how current it is, but the whole think is so heavy n dull to read. If found the best way about things was to skim the SVA manual, read the book
a couple of times, browse the newsgroups, fail the first SVA test and the find out what was wrong with everything.....The tester will explain it much
better than the SVA manual ever will!!!
The 'online' manual is 2000 edition - I have a real one of same vintage.
The online one is made complicate dby several pages of preamble that waffle on about legislative aspects, before it gets into the 20 or so sections
that actually ARE the sva manual. There are also some diagrams missing that are in a real manual.
For me, a real manual is pretty easy to read and interpret in 98% of the manual.
