Thanks.
Must they work with the ignition off ?
Reason I ask is that I've used the Hayabusa loom in my car and the indicators only work with the ignition on as a bike doesn't have hazard
lights. (Some BMW's do I believe)
They must work without the key in.
yours, Pete.
And if you're not great with electric u may find them a 'challenge' to wire up.
I bought flasher relay and Hella hazard switch from Premier wiring, the chap there Alan talked me through the wiring, could never have figured it on
my own.
if you use a sierra coumn its mostly done for you.
buy (its not free) a copy from dvla - but out of stock for two months i hear.
if you dont know the sva rules you have a good chance of building a car that will fail and need major work.
see
http:/groups.yahoo.com/group/svaonline
it has a year 2000 edition thats not as readable ( skip the front half with government babble in it) as the real copy but it will give you an idea.
I find the 'real' one pretty readable in 95% of it.

You could wire a seperate flasher direct from the battery with an illuminated switch and connect it into both sides of your indicator circuit. It
shouldn't be too hard to do. I think it might be a challenge wiring the Sierra column into the Hayabusa loom.
yours, Pete.
Thanks,
I've got the indicators working with the busa loom and flasher relay unit and the hazard switch on the Sierra column also works fine but it needs
the ignition to be on !
I think it might be easier to use a flasher unit wired into the fuse box rather than try to work out where to inject power into the busa loom, could
upset all sorts of things.
Thanks for the sva link too.
Cheers, Steve
