well lads, the day is dawning
SVA is on tuesday
spent the day finishing the car off the only task i could not do was to colour tune the engine. the plug was not big enough. i hope the
emmisions are not to bad...
i put the tools in the car, the paperwork on the side, and i will set the alarm for 5am on tuesday to ensure that i get the 50 miles to norwich for
8am...
wish me luck....

Good Luck!!!
You sound a lot more prepared than I was..... still bolting things together at 7AM the morning of the test!
Cheers,
James
Prepared... Yes, But very very apprehensive about the whole experience (i'm a planner by trade)
just hoping i've not missed anything, but in reality are our type of car ever really finished????
i will not be able to sleep tonight and will require a long run with the visor up tomorrow.

Don't worry too much! The testers in Norwich are a straight-forward bunch I believe - just take plenty of repair stuff (edging, tape, tie-wraps,
tools, etc.). Also take a notepad and camera - if he says something is not right you can write down what he says, and maybe photograph the problem
area.
Take it easy on the run to the centre - I didn't make it to my first test as I had engine problems, mostly due to the thrash down the A12 to
Chelmsford (I found out later it was a trivial problem ). You'll have a kinder run up the A140, but go easy on the A12 & A14 up to that
point.
Is anyone going with you in a tin-top?
Have a good time!
David

Best of luck Ditch, your car looks fab, dont think you have too much to worry about. Don't annoy the tester too much want him in a good mood
for mine on thursday!
Idle mixture screws on the 45's are on the top of the carbs, just infront of the flange where they are bolted to the manifold
David
GOOD LUCK
HOPE ALL GOES WELL
