I've sent off my forms applying for an SVA at Norwich. Not sure what the waiting period might be but I guess this is a busy time of year.
Anyway - any particular advice on the Norwich testing centre appreciated!

hi
Id go to any test centre
with the following thoughts
be there on time go and find out where it is the day before some are in funny back street IND estates
if your late you will most likely put him in a bad mood not good
dont go there expecting hell let you mess afterwards
so therefore arrive with a car that you hope will pass first time that is nicely finished and every edge on the front suspension covered nuts etc
foot pedal brake pedal needs grip have you done that ie a rubber off a corsa
do your hazards and side lights work with no key in the ign?
have you got a steering lock and key?
does your speedo work?

get some sva pics up on here
Yeh. Show us your motor mister
I'd 2nd doing a reccy and finding the SVA centre (especially if you intend to drive there and do some pre-SVA adjustments to tyre pressures etc
before the examiner arrives)...
Edmonton test centre is a sod to find. They do the usual thing of having a marker off the main road but then no further directions on any of the
following 5 roundabouts..... I got there with 4 minutes to go and had to slyly rivet on my brake bias bar cover box (which I'd left off incase I
needed to adjust after the drive) in the car park!!!
I'd work on the principle that the first test is to find out what work needs doing to get a pass and if it actually passes first time it's a
bonus. Then again, I also reckon that if you turn up with a nicely nailed together car and it shows you've put some thought into being safe and
sensible they'll be a bit kinder than if you turn up with some dodge thing that has obviously been bodged together to try and get round the
regulations in which case they're more likely to look for reasons to fail you....
Norwich test centre isn't too hard to find - on the west side of the inner ring road, if I recall correctly.
Get there early even if it means a very early start, make sure the fuel tank is full. There is a petrol station on the ring road about 1/2 mile from the test center . Take a few tools just in case . ENJOY!!
