Jambojeef has just passed the SVA at Newcastle with a home brewed turbo kit, on a CBR1000 on carbs.

Don't see it would make any difference. Emissions test is done at lowish RPM with no load - turbo shouldn't really come into effect.

Indeed I have!

Cheers Mike - sorry to have missed the Church Mouse last night btw (again) - next month.....!

If you're thinking of emissions - my engine was a 1991 so the pre-cat test and it sailed through....... when I got my ignition leads made up properly.

I reckon you could always leave a hose off and pass with a turbo fitted but not boosting. Im sure theres a way!

Just thinking aloud - if using a later engine with a cat fitted into the exhaust system, would having a turbo not aid the emmisions test by allowing you to producing more heat in the exhaust system (so the cat will work properly)??

In what way did the ignition leads fail the SVa and what did you do to correct it? Only asking as I have my SVA coming soon
