Has anyone done it? wonering if it will be possible?
Jambojeef has just passed the SVA at Newcastle with a home brewed turbo kit, on a CBR1000 on carbs.

Don't see it would make any difference. Emissions test is done at lowish RPM with no load - turbo shouldn't really come into effect.
Indeed I have!
Cheers Mike - sorry to have missed the Church Mouse last night btw (again) - next month.....!
If you're thinking of emissions - my engine was a 1991 so the pre-cat test and it sailed through....... when I got my ignition leads made up
properly.
I reckon you could always leave a hose off and pass with a turbo fitted but not boosting. Im sure theres a way!
Geoff
Sounds good for me then, think i'll go ahead with it then.
Cheers guys.
Just thinking aloud - if using a later engine with a cat fitted into the exhaust system, would having a turbo not aid the emmisions test by allowing you to producing more heat in the exhaust system (so the cat will work properly)??
