Oh well not too bad, Kevin was the tester and he was very fair and helpful. Problems are Handbrake efficiency, Kevin tried so hard to get it to work
he pulled the cable out of the handbrake! Other problems are the rear lights, the ones on the wings, are not vertical and the rear fog was below 250mm
measured when I was in the car, obviously I set the height when I was out of the car! A couple of sharp edges also came in for criticism, on exhaust
clamps, the rear edge of the silencer and a couple of ally angle trims.
I was very happy that the majority of usual major problem areas passed OK and the list is not too difficult to tackle with the possible exception of
the handbrake.

Bad luck, but not too bad.
Can you clarify the light problem. There's nothing in the manual about any of the lights except fog being vertical. Unless they are very off
they should meet the beam angles required.

I was only asking about the verticality of the lights other than fog. It appears the tester wanted all rear lights vertical, and you agree with my reading of the manual.

All the best cars fail first time!
I failed on mostly the same points (and a few more!) which was annoying since I has wasted loads of money on the Willwood handbrake calipers - Hey
Ho.
Sure you will pass next time
bad luck
i failed 3 times, twice for the speedo
first time there was 11 fail points.
keep at it because the feeling is great when you pass.
i passed today and i'm on cloud 9.

Thanks folks. I will do proper sort outs on all the items, I more or less agreed what I would do for the points with the tester so there won't be
any need to discuss things.
I have not decided quite how to make plinths for the tail lights. They are a single rectangular fitting and I don't really want to use any wood
nor get messy with glassfibre. Currently i am pondering on a bent ally bracket with open sides painted black.
I have a separate number plate frame so I will fix the rear fog onto that as it is already vertical, may have to extend the wiring which is a shame as
it is all super neat at the moment.
It will keep me quite for a day or two I guess!
