Hi folks,
I beleive that the lights have to be vertical in their allignment, how come cars like the New Beetle get away with having non verticle lights? as do
many others too.
I don't beleive (go on everyone - tell me I'm wrong!) that ALL the lights have to be vertical - I understand that its only the fog light - however that may be complete b***cks....
Is it not the light beam that would have to be horizontal, as opposed to the verticalness of the unit itself?
The foglight is made to be vertical probably because its so bright and such a basic design (on most locosts)!
Modern manufactureres spend loads on light design so that they pass all the regulations, but if they are "retrofit for UK market" they still
use shite foglights (eg Mitsubishi - all their car use the same little vertical £3.99 foglight, whether its an L200 Animal or a Colt)!
I don't think it matters how the lights are orientated it matters on how the reflective lens foceses the light.
on most of the sloping lights it is only the glass that is sloped but the lens is vertical
or have a offset buld with a sort of offset porabola reflective lens.
that's what i meant! (said much better Rell!)
just to defend my mitsubishi galant

I cant be bothered to get me manual out but.....
IIRC
The fog light must be vertical.
The visibility of the other lights is observed from specified angles. The lights themselves dont need to be vertical.

....and reverse light needs to be vertical
yes unless otherwise desined
i think that thay will have to be mouted verlical unless thay are something a bit sporty.
rell, is that your rx7?
Only if you bother to fit one. It's not a required fitting.
yours, Pete.
especially if you haven't got a reverse like me

Shame! Families really limited the car choice don't they! At least i convinced the missus that the scooby a a practicle and safe family car!!
well it is
ok it has 4 seats anyway
the 20mpg doesn't go down very well
A Leon Cupra R or Civic Type R are quite practical, more room in the back of the Civic actually, but only 3 door. I'll get one eventually...
Can somebody please tell if the fog light can be in the rear light cluster, or has it to be mounted seperatly ??
I will be using the Fiat Coupe tail light, and they have the fog light build in
Many Thanks
aslong as the reflective surface is verticle i would imagine it would be fine.
why do people pronounce Mitsubishi as 'Mitsibushi'.
I think I know but I'm not "hedging" my bets!! ROFL
I think we all like a bit of bush once in a while, Hellfire
well i always say it as 'mitsabishi', so what does that mean i like?!
