SVA and steering wheels

Is it ok to use the original old Sierra steering wheel for SVA, as I believe I can't use my Momo on a quick release hub.

And if so, so anybody have a spare horn centre pad as mine is missing?

Yes should be ok, mine had 1985 wheel, 22 years old! passed last year

Just make sure that it leaves enough room for you to get in and move around underneath it - I'm sure someone here got a SVA fail point due to the wheel impeding the driver's movement.

Yes - my Dad.
I failed cos wheel was too high - i ended up fitting smaller aftermarket one and loweing the column.

Std sierra wheel is highly recommended as long as you have proper control of the ca etc.

it also helps if you have proper control of the keyboard and not miss out the 'r'

AFAIK they have to be lockable to prevent them being removed while driving.

put the ignition key and release key on a keyring, weld it shut and its not possible to open while ignition is on.
