DVLA Inspection today glad to get that over with,All went well and we will be keeping the reg on the log book .He did check most of the parts too looking for ford numbers and so on also he was glad to see I had kept the paperwork in order.

Must have got my wires crossed,but i will go with what ever reg they give me just hope its soon and not six weeks.
Glad things went well for you today. MY day has been a nightnare with the DVLA.

Sorry to here that paul,building the car was the easy part I did have to make lots of phone calls to get an inspection date as the dvla lost the paperwork the first time luck i copy all of my doc,s but the buck stops with the dvla!!!
Be polite but very firm with DVLA eventually you will get there but oh so frustrating especially when they are cocking up as they invariably do!

It's the lack of consistency between DVLA local offices that never ceases to amaze me. For my part, Pompey DVLA office were quite reasonable to
deal with (once I managed to get a direct number for the guy who was dealing with it).
From the tales on the forum it seems it's a lottery for most people
They say all kinds of stuff at the inspection, I wouldn't take any of it too seriously. My inspector said I'd pay motorbike road tax as it's a BEC...... To be fair, they're only there to check a few numbers....
