1971 vw log book

I do know that the chances of any one building a vw beetle powered locost is unthinkable

but, I have a 1971 vw beetle based kit car log book, and chassis no,s for sale
1971 = tax exempt,

Does any one know of somone building a speedster??

I think that loophole has been closed now unless it still applies to rebodied cars.

With beetle based cars it depends upon whether the chassis is cut down or not as far as I know. If the chassis is as original then there is no need for SVA etc. However, if it is shortened (as with most beach buggies) then the finished car needs to go through SVA.

This is what I have heard, but then again, I may be wrong!!

This V5 has come from a covin bodied 911
that I owned earlier this year.
The car was built as a vw rebodied saloon and been on the road since 1985

so no sva rq
