I've had a quick look through the SVA manual and can't find nowt but the exhaust I'm fitting for SVA is a very tight fit and its easier to fit it so that the tail pipe sticks out further from the edge of the rear arch a bit. In other words it runs at an angle to the car slightly rather than parallel. Will this be a problem? I'll replace it once the tests done with a shorther parallel one.
If I've understood what you've said correctly, that should be fine.
Although you may want to consider your indicator positioning as if it's the widest part of the car, a canny examiner may measure inwards from
there...

Ah. Good thought! Its just that with a cat welded to the end of the silencer then it don't leave enough space to fit the angled tube to the manifold. Hmm, cheers Steve. Good point that.
Cats work far better if mounted as close to the engine as possible. A lot of newer cars have the cat mounted directly to the exhaust manifold . Not sure how effective a cat would be after the silencer?
Nope cat's on the other end to what you are thinking. It fits just in between the manifold and silencer. I think I'm going to cut and weld the collar on the CAT after what Steve said. It needs about 10 degrees.
So long as the "hole" has the proper radius, you should be fine.

Which hole is this mate sorry?
Assuming your exhaust has been designed in the conventional fashion, it will only have one hole!
Well, one hole that is subject to SVA checks anyway, and it'll be the one that points out and where the gases come out of.
