DVLA - Muppets in space!...

So when I got my tax renewal for the beast at the Post Office a couple of weeks ago with no MOT certificate and it all went swimmingly I thought - Fab!

Today I get the tax reminder for the donor

What a totally crap system Surely there is only one database? Surely all it took was one of them to update it from the paperwork that they had in abundance?

Don't'cha just luv 'em?

And of course when you phone their customer services helpline (on National rate) it immediately clicks to, "...I'm sorry none of our operatives are available and even if they were they're not any more useful than the fluff stuck under a gerbil's foreskin..." before going through a long an extensive list of all the reasons why you wouldn't be phoning their helpline to then hang you up (after having at least a minute of your money).

I feel a letter coming on...

Show them a copy of the MAC and tell them that the car is now mostly in the kit and the rest was disposed of as scrap at a metal merchants not a scrapyard. As you retained VIN plates and chassis numbers for SVA there is no way of identifying the donor.

They did the same to me with my donor but it was for the SORN renewal, that was after I had surrendered all the docs when I registered the Indy.Told me to ignore it, Total muppets the lot of em.
