Anyone know of a fast way to get a number plate that will pass an MOT without having to produce a log book? Bought a car to go on hols in (this
monday) and its got no tax, no test and no v5, so it's gonna be a struggle to get it all sorted in time. The v5 will take a month to arrive from
the DVLA and i need one to pass the test, which i in turn need to get a tax disc...
any ideas? thanks in advance anyone...
Ignore that, just ordered some off fancy plates as recommended in a previous thread. Hope they come fast and are legal!!
So what did you buy then?
Chinque gone?
my favourite type of car ever, a 406 executive, 3.0 v6 job. Bloody amazing cars, though not as many features as say an omega elite etc.
£2002 on a 98R from the block. has a few knocking noises, but the engine is as smooth as butter, possibly genuine 70k. i love them. they have the
lovely soft springs of an exec car, but still bags of power. the 6 sounds really nice after so many miles in a tappety 4 pot!
unfortunately, its getting sold soon anyway as it is too thirsty to run, got a fiesta diesel purchased as well the other day. the 406 is just for the
hols next week! luxury motoring, just need to tax test and insure the blasted thing...
did anyone see the prog on traffic cops earlier? apparently everyone in rotherham drives with no insurance, and is covered in tattoos...
I saw that and figured it was more of a generic South Yorkshire thing...
Wont you need a logbook, or a tax reminder to tax it?
you gotta send off the 'application for a v5' form at the same time, the post master keeps that to make sure it gets sent off. if he wont, sod him!! i'll just use my seicento plates and tax
