SVA Retest
Johneturbo - 15/6/08 at 05:00 PM

hey all
I've got my retest on the 19th(after many calls of pestering) i've had to send back all the sva stuff to mnr.
will it matter that the car isn't how it was for the retest? i've only got to get the brake bias set up and locked and check the handbrake.

my only visual concern is the bike indicators i've fitted only stick out 3"

would it look like i'm taking the pee!
if so has anyone got some extensions i could borrow or a couple of drilled out M8 bolts, maybe i could make my own extensions
cheers
john

When mine failed its first SVA, the inspector made a point of tell me not to change the car (other than to fix the things he wanted done) other wise he could fail it on any new items / modifications.

Cheers,

B

If the indicators are the only visible thing I would try to SVA-proof them again, just in case

Sorry mate but I can't comprehend why you would change the indicators prior to the re-test & DVLA inspection, you're just asking for trouble. Why on earth could you not wait, it's not like you're on the road. Sorry bit of a rant there, best of luck, but I reckon you're pushing it if they are that obvious.
