Well, I'm finally getting there.
Passed my SVA last Wednesday. Without delay I filled in my paperwork for DLVA to get it registered, along with my new MAC the same day.
Got a letter back on Friday to request an inspection. Called back on Firday, but the offices were closing for the weekend (Fair enough, everyone has a
life).
Got a call back from the centre this morning and got an inspection booked for this Wednesday. Hopefully have some plates for the weekend, fingers
crossed!
Cheers
Ian
Oh you crazy optimistic fool!!!
It's the DVLA we're talking about here.... Why do a job quickly when it can be stretched out over as many weeks as possible and in an
incompetent manner as possible?? 2 weeks after my inspection the local office still hadn't done anything. Apparantly they "couldn't
get in contact with the inspector for at least a week to ask for the report". I gave them his mobile phone number (which I still had from him
ringing to arrange the inspection) and suggested they use that. Suddenly the excuse changed to something else..........
Good luck! If all else fails give them a kick up the sporan...
I managed to get my reg doc faxed to me the following day after the DVLA inspection.
If you ask nicely you may be surprised
I got my inspection do at my 1st SVA and then got the plates the day of my re-test.
The inspection was done at SVA and was booked about 3 days before.
So no probs at all.
Simple!...
Got mine inspected on Mon' AM. Passed SVA Mon' PM. Got a letter in the post tuesday with a cert' of newness to sign . Took the MAC and
newness cert' to them Wed'. Got the plates Friday PM!
Hope yours is as easy. Then enjoy...carefully!
