do the holes where my front suspension /steering arms poke through the body need an edge trim round them or is it just contact with a sphere if so how big is the sphere ?

I didn't trim them, no problems with SVA.

Not really necessary. I trimmed mine with thin narrow "U" section and a dob of glue from one of the usual suppliers. (Cant remember who).
It only cost a few pence.

It looks a lot nicer, and shows the SVA man you have paid attention to detail.
Thats as important as being SVA compliant, as it tells the SVA man you have thought of the small details, and have taken the time and care to deal with it. It gives them a feel good factor about you.

It has been said many times, that the appearance of the car, IS a factor in the SVA, albeit not a requirement. Its what it says about YOU and your building of the car.

Just my 2 Reils worth.

Thanks all

I may at least trim the hole where the steering boots come through as it could chafe.

I also have some small plastic "gill" vents(car builder solutions ) inset in the side of the engine compartment (cobra style) anybody have any thoughts about these being lethal weapons.

Thanks
Ian

seems to be as long as not sharp in direction of travel - forwards - then ok
