what happens if your donor doesent have a vin plate or the vin plate is lost, can you still get a age related plate or not????

donor vin isnt used on the kit car

you need a v5 to prove a single donor not the vin plate

Heyzee, I think that people in general suggest that you get as much evidence as possible to confirm the donor but as Steve says its the V5 that matters.

ditto. i chopped out my vin plate just incase i needed it, it could easily have ended up in the scrappers though.

i also kept my vin plate - more out of souvenir than necessity.

v5 is all you need

Just to add to te original question. What if the engine doesn't match that of the V5. Can you still vere away from a Q-plate???

All you have to have is two major components from thier list. Im building a BEC and still hope to have age related plate.

Just to expand a bit, you need two from the following for an age related plate.

Suspension (Front And Back)
Axles (Both)
Transmission
Steering Assembly
Engine

Hope that helps
