non exposed nuts

Does the SVA require all nuts to be covered or only external ones ie the ones that are visible from outside the car.

the tester has a metal "kneecap"and will wander round to see if the hex heads can touch said kneecap, also relates to inside of your cockpit

if you turn up with your nuts out he wont be too chuffed. Might count as indecent exposuire....

best bet is to buy a packet of mixed covers that you see at show and cover anything you can! Thinks you are really keen then, and don't cost much. I'm thinking of getting a few to put on rear suspension as makes life so much easier when you need to undo something which normally gets covered in road grime.

When I had my sva the examiner looked around the car like theconrodkid said, also in the cockpit, a place where I didn't think of covering, was the bolt that held down the battery clamp, it couldn't be seen and you had to twist at a funny angle to feel it but nether the less it had to be covered up. also, i covered up tube p on the chassis (can normally be seen) just a bit of 22mm copper piping lagging does it nice.

Hope this helps
