I have just been watching the discovery channel and an add, by the government, said something about a new tax rule thing, any 1 got anymore
information????
Thanks 4 ur time
Phil
is this the thing about tax being based on your emmissions on the Mot test?
Could be the b*****ds are always coming up with ways to screw more money out of us!
Beat the system, build an electric locost!
there's a lso a proposal to charge people £80 i think (may be £60) if they fail to renew their car tax in time. read that in paper yesterday.
That would be an absolute scandal!!
£80 stupid!!!!
I already pay through the nose for my car and van wouldnt be so bad if the revenue was actually spent on maintaining the roads as anyone whos ever
driven in Lincolnshire can sympathise with.
Craig
It could be that you now need two forms of identification when you register a vehicle, it's in all the kit car mags.
Cheers
Chris
Yep your right ,if you dont renew your tax disc and do not dsclare SORN in time the registered owner will be fined £80,and to add to the misery there
is NO APPEAL.
Worth living in the country just for that i think.
Basically they cant catch the people who dont register cars in there names, so guess who foots the bill.
So dont become fatally ill and end up in hospital or go on any long holidays
that is the Uk, and goverment 4 u
Bob,
Has that already started?
If not, when does it come in?
James
jan 1st,pitty post office was closed till 3rd
So when your fine drops through the letterbox and you look out of the window and see a stream of transits with caravans on the back with tax discs
that have no relation to that vehicle dont feel to hard done by,just remember to vote properly next time.
i like a good moan me

my bro's ran out new years eve too, he's got MOT in morning, I'm hoping for his sake it wont apply to tax that ran out last year.

Declare it sorn, you can still take it for mot as long as it's insured, then tax it again at the end of the month or lose a couple of weeks on
the new tax, it's not that difficult to work round.
