2 litre pinto for sale
lotusmadandy - 2/9/09 at 06:57 PM

Guy's

further to my previous post about selling my rebuilt pinto,i am now putting it up for sale.

It is an 89 205 block with injection head
Rebuilt with new shells and rings 1000 miles ago.The block was honed before refitting the pistons.
All of the valves were ground in and new seals fitted.A complete gasket set has also been fitted.
It has a modded sump and rocker cover
and will come with a bike carb inlet manifold (made by me) ,a stainless exhaust manifold, repackable silencer, ford electronic ignition system and bike carb fuel pump. The engine has excellent oil pressure and is spotlessly clean.
It was suggested on here that i could maybe make £300-400 on the bay but would like to offer it to you guys first.
If anyone is interested i would like to get £300ish for the lot but am open to offers and may split it up if there is enough interest.

By the way it is still in my mk so it can be seen and driven.
Andy

Is this engine still available? If so I have a few questions please.

1. Whats the power output?
2. Is it running a standard head and CAM?
3. Got any pics?

Thanks,

Hi Anthony,

I still have the engine at the moment
but have strong interest from another
locost member.
The engine with bike carbs puts out around the 130 mark.
It has a standard injection head and cam
but the injection head has bigger ports than the carb head.
I had always intended to fit an fr33 cam after it was run in.
If you send your email i will send the pics but cannot sell until it
has been viewed by the other interested member.

best regards,

Andy

Indeed he is Steve, on sunday morning
he will be here around 9am.We will go out for a drive then whip it out of the bay and into the boot of his big car.
I will give a couple of the neighbours a knock for some extra hands into the boot.
Unless of course you have a couple of hours free on sunday morning
