LOCOSTBUILDERS
Recieved today, I have no recollection of a transaction. Anyone else had similar?
Hello
My name is Dave and I am from the Support of WorldPay.
We have received the payment order (ID 0220712,Receipt Date 09/07/2006) from you and we need to
make a verification of the details you have filled in, as we have received a notice from your card
service stating that there was a chargeback made by the owner of the card with which you have made
the payment and that your level of authorization has been altered during your last transaction.
This is a very serious matter. We have deducted the amount of the chargeback, GBP 149.89, from
your account and added our standard fee of GBP 24.00 as well (you can see your payment details in
the attachment).
We have failed to contact you using the telephone number you have provided earlier, meeting no
response.
As a precaution, we have limited access to your account in order to protect against future
unauthorized transactions. Please understand that this is a security measure intended to help
protect you and your personal information.
Please contact your credit card company to resolve this matter.
Best Regards,
Dave Gollick

wow i was believing that at the start, although it does state to contact your credit card company, not to contact them directly...
I've had 3 of those today. I think it's a virus.
Yep, I've had that mail today as well.
Binned it swiftly, along with the rest of the spam offers for impotence cream and Rolexes.
Peter...
My 4 year old had that one today.
In the new fascist republic, I'm going to find the people that do this and cause them great pain. Publically.
All are free to join in.
Peace and flowers,
Neil.
I've been receiving these for almost a week now.... I think they're just harvesters hoping for a response then they r in. The way they are
writing the SH1T lately is bypassing the ISP spam filters as a thread illuded to earlier.
I just keep adding it to JUNK and eventually it will cease... hopefully
ME TOO AND I WAS CONCERNED AS I'D JUST BOUGHT SOMETHING AND THE INFO WAS QUITE SIMILAR
Sorry for shouting. I called the card company etc and all was well (fank thuck). I didn't open the attachment either.
The old saying if in doubt chuck it out still applies.
These emails have a zipped attachment which when examined is likely to damage your machine... Obviously you shouldn't open or execute anything
from someone unknown to yourself...
Cheers
yep got two today shame ive never used world pay
