Whats the best fixing to use to secure a diffuser / splitter on to the bottom of the chassis? I just wondered if others have screwed them on or riveted them on? The front spliiter needs to be removable as to allow access to the bottom of the engine.
Rivnut and bolt / cap head
If alloy I would do as above but counter sunk allen bolts to keep the bottom as smooth as possible.
I have a front splitter/sump guard, which I have attached using hose clamps around the chassis rails. Removable, and not an intrusion into the chassis.

I'll see what I can do about more pics of underneath, but there are some in my archive showing from the front and sides. It does not move.
My splitter (on the front) is going to be extended forwards, and combined with an air dam (my nosecone does not extend below the rad, and I need to
cover this), so it will need some fixing rods attached to the nosecone.
I used two large P-Clips to strap a piece of angle to the chassis - then used rivnuts to attach the diffuser to that. It meant I didn't have to
drill holes in the frame. REALLY crappy phone photo :-
I will be looking at doing this in the near future. Did you cut areas to allow for wishbone drop or was this not a problem on your cars?
Also do you have to remove your front and rear splitter diffuser to jack the car up?
On mine with a deDion and A-frame, I had to cut slots to make it all fit, though happily that left the rear mounting point for the A-frame exposed, so
jacking it up isn't an issue :-
