Hands up all those in England that think we should have a day off to celebrate St George's day?

I'll take the holiday. Don't much care about Saint's days. I'd rather have one in July when the weather's nicer or in September to break up the gap between the August bank holiday and Christmas.

Bloody hell what's new there then. I vote NO holiday as you (England) seem to be shut from 2 oclock on Friday to 10 Oclock on monday EVERY WEEK

Going back to the north of Hadrian versus the rest
Seeing as we ENGLISH keep what is allegedly your oil business going half of scotland stops at 11-00am on Friday so we can go home to spend our ill gained money on our toys and don't bother getting to work on Monday until dinner time so what’s the problem

By the way as a contractor I would scrap all bank holidays everywhere as I don’t get paid for holidays and would prefer sunny days to be able to go out

I work in England but for a Scottish company. Best of both.....Scots bank Hols and English ones too.....

As I'm retired I think all bank holidays should be done away with in England, Wales and Scotland
