Parts for Age related plate?

I'm struggling to find the Perfect Donor Sierra, a pre 1992 2.0L Pinto (with a suitable head for unleaded), with a type 9. This is mainly as I want an age related plate, not a Q and I want to avoid a CAT test. Now if I get a CVH donor sierra and use everything off it (gearbox, diff, uprights, loom, shafts, brakes, dash parts etc), less the engine, would it be enough for an age related plate.

If I could just get a sierra then find a engine separate, its going to make life easier.

Yes my friend, just put the engine number for your build on the donor V5 and bobs your uncle.

The 'Built Up Vehicle Inspection Report' V627/1, list major components for a car as;

Chassis/Body Shell
Axles
Transmission
Steering Assembly
Engine
Suspension (front and back)

You only need to use 2 of the above from a donor vehicle to qualify for an age related plate and as the form is rather vague it is open to interpretation.

You can even fit a bike engine and still easily qualify for an age related plate.

You only need to be pre '95 to avoid cat test, not 92.

why not fit a CVH engine and then change after SVA... that way you a definately going to get age related plate and no CAT needed.

After SVA and Registration you can do what you like !

Get a cvh donor one and then a pinto engine and have the pinto engine number put onto the donors V5 as said. Youl definatley get age related with that.

My dvlla inspector said theyl only giv an age related plate if you have the V5 from the donor as proof.
