switch symbols/ID's
are dash switches (eg fog light) required to be identified with a symbol or text? or can they just be blank?
also, are they requried to illuminate when active and/or be backlit (I assume this will be required)?
cheers

Should be marked as you suggest plus they should light up when active

No, in general not for SVA. However, brake warning light must have symbol and a few specified controls must have a tell-tale which lights up
when the switch is on (e.g. fog light, main beam)

IVA introduces the requirement for switches/telltales to be marked. The symbols required are in the IVA manual draft.
Switch isn't required to light up when active, but if it's got a light in it then it can be a telltale.
