hi i am building a 1.3 locost do i need to have it checked at certain stages the chassis is built

Keep a Photo record of your build though.
You will need this when you send off your paperwork, Also keep all your receipts.

Do keep receipts for metal and other materials used, welding rods and gas etc, nuts, bolts and more throughout your build, this is needed to prove amateur build status at SVA and for DVLA registration.
Photograph every stage of your build and get photos of you doing the work.
This has become an important part of the registration process.

no, but have you applied for sva because it changes to iva this or next month, if its not anywhere near completion your looking at iva, there are changes to the manual
