Got Registered!

Took car to dvla in gosforth at 10.30 this morning. Had the tax disc by 11, number plates fitted by 12.
After the fuss last week, saying I might get a "Q" plate, they had already asigned an age related plate!
To say I am pleased is puting it mildly. Been driving around grinning all afternoon, showing everyone I know how clever I am to make a car!
Thanks to Andy.

Cheers lads.

Only insured it for 1000 miles a year. That might not be enough, I had to be dragged back in for tea!

Got 2 more days off work, weather forecast looks good. Woo Hoo!

hi, out of interest what did they check on the car apart from chassis number?

im worried as not sure where the engine number is on my car (VOSA couldnt find one) however i have the V5 (a copy at least as VOSA seem to have lost my original!!) and have the correct number of parts used to have a plate.

reckon i will get through??

Joe, they check the engine number and chassis number. You need 2 forms of i.d., I used passport and driving licence. Insurance cover note showing at least the last 7 digits of the chassis number.

Mike, thanks very much. Out and about tomorow. Would be keen to see your car in the near future.

Congrats.

All these success stories give me a bit more push to get cracking, get finished and on the road before the summer comes and goes!
