Do I need a supplementary VIN plate say on the bulkhead cannot find any reference to this in the manual. If so do I require any other info than VIN. I

I tried to cover all the bases with:
1. Steel plate welded to chassis (under nose cone)
2. Al plate pop-riveted to chassis in boot
3. Stamped the floor in front of the driver's seat
4. Directly stamped the chassis in a couple of places.
It was acknowledged at the SVA that all this was more than required.
But better two too many than one too few!

Does it have to be on a particul;ar side of the engine bay? Mines on the drivers side....

I called the SVA centre today regarding my chassis number, the chap on the phone said I'd be ok with one number stamped onto a plate riveted to
the chassis. Preferably on the n/s of the car.
