VIN

Do I need a supplementary VIN plate say on the bulkhead cannot find any reference to this in the manual. If so do I require any other info than VIN. I have welded plate on chassis

Cheers

I tried to cover all the bases with:
1. Steel plate welded to chassis (under nose cone)
2. Al plate pop-riveted to chassis in boot
3. Stamped the floor in front of the driver's seat
4. Directly stamped the chassis in a couple of places.

It was acknowledged at the SVA that all this was more than required.

But better two too many than one too few!

I called the SVA centre today regarding my chassis number, the chap on the phone said I'd be ok with one number stamped onto a plate riveted to the chassis. Preferably on the n/s of the car.
