Fitting a decibel insert?

I've now got a Jetex decibel insert but wondering how it should fit - specifically, should the narrower end point towards the tailpipe or towards the engine?

Also, where would the best place to fit it in the Dax repackable exhaust be - towards the tailpipe, in the middle of the exhaust, or towards the cat?

Any suggestions welcome.

I had to use one of those sort of things to get through my SVA, i used the one from CBS.

I have the narrow end pointing towards the engine.

Cheers,

I put mine in front of the cans as I have just enough straight section of pipe to allow this - I did cut them down a little as well as I found they were restricted too much gas flow at full beans...

Thanks everyone.

I don't really care about the emissions - this is just to get through my SVA retest and as I passed emissions the first time, they will hopefully not get retested.
