You WILL know I'm here
Any rules on how loud a horn can be? I very rarely use it but when I do I want the spanner who cut me up to go home with brown trousers

Nope. Just has to be a single tone / chord IE you can't have the Dukes of Hazard style horn on public roads (though don't tell the person
round my neck of the woods who has, and drives down the road honking it like a winkstain)....

What about a train horn? Seen some seriously funny flicks where young dudes are cruising round sounding train horns to extract the brown stuff.
Funny

Yeah something like that
Just wondering if there's a decibel limit though
And where can I steal a train horn from (don't say a train!)

These are all looking cool I should have them sticking up from the bonnet, but as far as possible from me! I can see it now coming home from
work...
"HI DEAR!"
"Why are you shouting?"
"WHAT? I THINK I MIGHT BE SHOUTING I USED THE HORN ON SOMEONE ON THE WAY HOME!"

I used to have a pair of air horns on my old motorbike - one day some numpty cut across my bows on a roundabout, so I gave him the benefit from about
1 metre away... and realised that his back window was open, and the old biddy on the back seat had just copped the full blast! (oops!)
But seriously - I rarely use the air horns on my Locost, 'cos I find that they just antagonise people rather than act as a warning device.
I'm trying to find another pair of electric horns I used to have on another bike. They were just as loud but each had quite a deep note, so they
weren't so aggressive.

They must've made mine on a Friday afternoon then, 'cos the pair (in blue) I have are absolutely dire
Both horns are too quiet so it's not even as if I can blame a duff one.
Mind you, after the triple air horns that were on before.....

don't want to teach granny to suck eggs but it's very often the way they are mouted that makes all the difference , clamp any horn too
tight an it will be dull it must be free to vibrate ....naughty naughty

I have a stebel nautilus air horn on my bike, its pretty flipping loud and also needed a separate relay to protect the switch but its very handy if
someone is about to reverse or change lanes into me. As above, it’s not best to use for antagonizing people, use just for warning as it’s so loud that
really it will just annoy them even more
I also wanted the demonic airhorns of ‘THE CAR!’

I bought the electric horns from CBS and they often make people jump even when I warn then and they are mounted in the nosecone so the sound is
funnelled forward
