Visible smoke test only with a Q no emission standards. Thats all.
Sorry forgot, you can transfer numbers on age related but your stuck with the Q.

Largely depends on how bothered you are about a Q plate.
Generally people will say it can devalue the car, with something like a locost i wouldn't have thought it makes much difference - a lot of bike
engined cars are Q plated.
The one & only advantage of a Q plate is that whatever the age of your vehicle & whatever the age of the engine if on a Q you will only have
to pass visible smoke test for Mot, so no nasty CAT test. HTH
I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator
headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names
furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours.

Some of the MOT testers don't know it either, so if you need to take advantage of it, you might have to prompt them to take another look at
their manual.
